Your Girlfriend's Favorite Sports Bar

The Palm & The Pine takes its name from an unofficial California landmark that once stood just off Highway 99: a lone palm and pine tree growing side by side, marking the symbolic line between Southern and Northern California. Cross toward the palm, and you were headed south; toward the pine, north.

No one knows exactly who planted them. One story dates them back to when Oregon and Mexico once shared a border—the pine for Oregon, the palm for Mexico. Whether true or not, we've always loved what they came to represent: the beauty, history, contradictions, and diversity that make California unlike anywhere else.

As founders from Northern California who laid roots in Southern California, The Palm & The Pine is our love letter to both—and our take on what a California sports bar can be: a little nostalgic, a little unexpected, and always tastefully done.
